DAY
1 - ISTANBUL - Daily - This is a private tour - choose your own date

2 - ISTANBUL - (BL)
"Imperial Constantinople in the Belle Epoque"
(late 19th century), the exotic romance of the "Paris of the
East:" (BL)
Morning walking tour : We start with our guide in Karaköy where
the foreign bankers and shipping companies had their headquarters, then
take the Tünel up to istiklal Caddesi; stop in the whirling dervish
tekke, and walk past the various old embassy buildings (now consulates),
and point out the architecture. Stop for tea (included) at the
famous Pera Palace Hotel.
Walk at least as far as Galatasaray Square, and have lunch in
the Çicek Pasaji (Flower Passage); then walk up to Taksim Square and
be picked up for the afternoon tour. In the afternoon the tour visit
Yildiz Palace Park and the Ihlamur Kasri, a mini-palace south of Yildiz,
and finish up with a visit to the Military History Museum in Harbiye
in time to hear the "Mehter," or Ottoman military band (mid-afternoon).
Remainder
of the day is at leisure to explore Istanbul on your own . Dinner is
included at the hotel.
DAY
3 - ISTANBUL - (BL)
Let us show you the city: the Blue Mosque, Byzantine Hippodrome,
Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. and then on to the Underground
Cistern. walk thru the columns of this grand water reservoir.
Lunch is included at a local restaurant.
After a brief rest at your hotel, we'll have dinner with live Turkish
music and belly-dancing.
Complimentary entrance tickets to the Harem's quarter in the Topkapi
Palace.
DAY
4 - CANAKKALE - (BL)
After breakfast we start our scenic drive south to the famous Galipoli,
we cross the strategic Dardanelles, to land in Asia ! , tour Troy ,
before we reach Çanakkale , lunch is included enroute , sample
hotel: Iris (3 stars) or similar. Kolin Hotel or similar for
deluxe 5 stars
DAY
5 - PERGAMON & IZMIR (BL)
We drive to Pergamon to see its Acropolis, Temple of Trojan,
Altar of Zeus and Temple of Dionysus, the Red Basilica, and the ancient
medical center of the Asclepion, then continue to Izmir and Kaya
Prestige or Konak hotel or similar for the night. Lunch is included
enroute.

6 - EPHESUS (BL)
We drive to Selçuk to visit the extensive ruins of Roman
Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary. After lunch we continue to
Pamukkale for a tour of the ancient Roman spa of Hierapolis and
its warm calcium-rich mineral baths. Lycus River Hotel 4 stars ( best
available) or similar.

7 -- APHRODISIAS & PAMUKKALE (BL)
Driving east along fertile river valleys crowded with fields and fruit
orchards, we reach Aphrodisias, the City of Aphrodite, goddess
of love. After our visit, we continue to Pamukkale, the "Cotton
Fortress," where cascades of gleaming white calcium cover a hillside.
The warm mineral-laden waters attracted the Romans, who built the spa-city
of Hierapolis here. We tour its ruins, and enjoy the swimming pool at
our hotel here in the evening.
DAY
8 - KONYA (BL)
Passing through Turkey's fertile Lake District, we drive to Konya,
capital of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum and home of the Whirling Dervishes.
We visit the Mevlana Museum, where the founder of the dervish order
is buried, Konya Ozkaymak Hotel (modest 3 stars - best available), or
similar.Lunch is included enroute .

DAY
9 - CAPPADOCIA (BL)
Enjoy your breakfast before continuing on to Cappadocia, stopping
at the Sultanhan Caravanserai on the way. We descend into a labyrinthine
Underground City at Kaymakli, then tour the rockhewn cave churches
and monasteries of the Göreme Valley and the rockhewn natural
citadel of Uçhisar. Cappadocia Inn Hotel , Perissia Hotel or,
Kapadokya Lodge or similar. For deluxe we use the boutique : Cave Suites
hotel or similar .
Extend
your stay in Cappadocia . Lunch is included today .
DAY10
- ISTANBUL (B)
Drive to Kayseri and head to the airport for our flight to Istanbul
and your hotel .
