Before you depart, we'll send you a complimentary copy of Lonely Planet Publications full-color, 800- Page Turkey Guide by best-selling guidebook author Tom Brosnahan, packed with information about what to see, what to do, where to dine, and how to get around Turkey , as well as details on excursions and short trips, and full-color maps. We'll also send you the Lonely Planet Turkish Phrasebook .

You can plan your arrival for any date, any day of the week

We'll reserve your hotel room at a carefully-selected deluxe, first class or tourist class hotel, whichever you prefer

When you arrive, we'll meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel

Your hotel will provide you with breakfast daily

On your first morning in Istanbul, we'll take you to the Rent a Car Office to show you where you can pick up your Rent a car. We'll pre-book the rent a car ( air condition, unlimited mileage, CDW, TP tax included ), we 'll book the car fro 9 days , 8 nights, pick up Istanbul, drop off Ankara Airport..

If you'd like to come along on one of our many organized tours within the city or to other places in Turkey--Ephesus or Cappadocia, for instance--just let us know and we'll arrange it. You pay only for the extra tours that you request.

If you need help or have questions during your stay, just call our Istanbul office and the helpful English-speaking personnel--all of whom live in Istanbul--will provide answers and assistance

At the end of your stay, we'll escort you back to the airport for your flight home.

Suggested Itinerary :

DAY 1 - ISTANBUL
We meet your flight and escort you to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 - ISTANBUL-Home Hosted Dinner (cBD)
Own activities. This evening we'll venture where few ordinary visitors ever tread . . . right into the homes of some of the people of Istanbul! You'll be invited to a family dinner, and while you enjoy wholesome home-cooked specialties, you'll learn about and appreciate the outlook, aspirations, and way of life of your hosts. Be assured, as curious as you may be about your new friends, they're sure to have questions about your own background. Once the ice is broken, you'll enjoy a lively evening, and find that you have more in common than you ever suspected. Of course, you may enjoy dinner in a quiet restaurant with your travel companions, by letting us know your preferences.

International airfare to Turkey is not included in the rates. If you need air tickets, please call us about our very competitive fares made available through special arrangements with Turkish Airlines. DAY 3 - ISTANBUL / CANAKKALE (cB)
After breakfast , check-out on your own, proceed on your own to pick up the car from the Rent A Car offer, ( Additional driver is at additional cost, paid direct to the car rental company office locally).

Enjoy the scenic drive south to the famous Galipoli, you'll cross the strategic Dardanelles, to land in Asia ! , tour Troy ( on your own) , before you reach Canakkale , dinner at your hotel.

DAY 4 - PERGAMON & KUSADASI (cBD)
Drive to Pergamon to see its Acropolis ( on own) , Temple of Trojan, Altar of Zeus and Temple of Dionysus, the Red Basilica, and the ancient medical center of the Asclepion, then continue to Kusadasi and your hotel for dinner & overnight

DAY 5 - KUSADASI (cBD) : Own activity.

DAY 6 - EPHESUS & PAMUKKALE (cBD)
Drive ( on your own ) to Selçuk to visit the extensive ruins of Roman Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary. Continue to Pamukkale for a tour ( on your own ) of the ancient Roman spa of Hierapolis and its warm calcium-rich mineral baths. Dinner at your hotel.

DAY 7 - KONYA (cBD)
Passing through Turkey's fertile Lake District, you 'll drive ( on your own) to Konya, capital of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum and home of the Whirling Dervishes. Visit ( on your own ) the Mevlana Museum, where the founder of the dervish order is buried. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 8 - CAPPADOCIA (cBD)
Enjoy your breakfast before continuing on to Cappadocia, stopping at the Sultanhan Caravanserai on the way ( if you wish) . Visit on your own in Cappadoccia: the labyrinthine Underground City at Kaymakli, or the rockhewn cave churches and monasteries of the Göreme Valley and the rockhewn natural citadel of Uçhisar. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 9 - CAPPADOCIA (cBD) : Own activities

DAY 10 - ANKARA & ISTANBUL Wednesday (cB)
Heading north, you drive to Ankara for a visit ( on your own ) to the monumental mausoleum of Atatürk, father of modern Turkey, then we tour the famous Museum of Anatolian Civilizations before heading to the airport , drop your rent a car and fly home.

The per-person rates above include:

• one copy of the Lonely Planet Istanbul City Guide, Turkish Phrasebook for each hotel room reserved;The books will be mailed to you after full payment is received.
• Round-trip airport transfers
• hotel accommodation in the hotel class of your choice, please note that in some places such as Konya, no deluxe hotels.
