DAY 1 - Istanbul Saturday
(B)
Arrival at Istanbul Airport. Secure your visa prior to arrival or get it upon arrival ( limited number of EU, American, Japanese nationalities and others ) Sample fee $20 for American guests.

Our staff meets you at the airport and escorts you to the Blue House Hotel or similar.
Prefer to fly same day to Bodrum ?


 

DAY 2 - ISTANBUL - Sunday (cBLD)
After breakfast , our local guide will meet you at the hotel, and stroll with you to the great square which was once the Byzantine Hippodrome. On to theBlue Mosque , Sancta Sophia , and the Underground Roman Cistern , after lunch at a local restaurant , visit the Topkapi Palace, , and we 'll explore the great city Grand Bazaar . In the evening, we'll have dinner and take in a folk show.

 

 

 

DAY 3 - ISTANBUL - Monday (B)
Free day in Istanbul. Explore the city on your own as you wish.

 

 

DAY 4 - ISTANBUL - Tuesday (BL)
"Imperial Constantinople in the Belle Epoque"

Morning walking tour
: We start with our guide in Karaköy where the foreign bankers and shipping companies had their headquarters, then take the Tünel up to istiklal Caddesi; stop in the whirling dervish tekke, and walk past the various old embassy buildings (now consulates), and point out the architecture. Stop for tea (included) at the famous Pera Palace Hotel.
Walk at least as far as Galatasaray Square, and have lunch in the Çicek Pasaji (Flower Passage); then walk up to Taksim Square and be picked up for the afternoon tour. In the afternoon the tour visit Yildiz Palace Park and the Ihlamur Kasri, a mini-palace south of Yildiz, and finish up with a visit to the Military History Museum in Harbiye in time to hear the "Mehter," or Ottoman military band (mid-afternoon).

 

 

DAY 5 - ISTANBUL - Wednesday (B)
Free day in Istanbul. Explore the city on your own as you wis
h.

 

 

DAY 6 - Thursday - Istanbul/Izmir - KUSADASI (B)
Our driver meets you at the hotel and transfers you to Istanbul Airport for the 13:00 flight to Izmir. Another transfer from Izmir Airport to Kusadasi. Rest of the day on your own. Overnight at Kismet Hotel in Kusadasi or similar .

 



DAY 7 - Friday - EPHESUS (B,L)
Today we first drive to the Virgin Mary's House; after that we visit Ephesus which was founded in the eleventh century BC by the Ionians. Strolling through the streets of Ephesus, we will witness the perfection of the Greco-Roman Art. Later in the afternoon we will visit St John's Basilica, believed to be the tomb of the Apostle John, Christ's beloved disciple. From the basilica, we will be able to look down on the remains of the temple of Artemis. We end the day with our visit to the Isa Bey Mosque. Overnight at Kismet Hotel in Kusadasi.

 



DAY 8 - Saturday - KUSADASI - BODRUM (B,L)

Our guide and driver meet you at your hotel after breakfast and we drive down to Bodrum. We drive first to Prienne, formerly a leading member of the Panionic League. As we drive further South, we visit Miletus and then arrive at Didyma, where we have lunch at a local restaurant, circumstances permitting, across the road from the temple. As the historian Pausanias wrote, "The sanctuary of Apollo at Didymoi, and the oracle there are more ancient than the Ionian settlement". Overnight at The Marmara Hotel in Bodrum.

 



DAY 9 - Sunday - GULET - Sailing (B,D)
You have free time until afternoon today. In the afternoon, our staff meet you at your hotel lobby and transfer you to the marina to board the gulet. Welcome drink and information about the gulet and the tour program. Overnight in the harbour of Bodrum.

 


DAY 10 - Monday - GULET - Sailing (B,L,D)
Departure after breakfast. Cruising about 1 hour, first stop by Karaada, the little island in front of Bodrum. After lunch, with a cruise of 3-4 hours, we arrive at Cati, a lovely bay surrounded with pine trees on the south coast of the gulf. Dinner and overnight here.

 



DAY 11- Tuesday - GULET- Sailing (B,L,D)
Cruising 1.5 hours after breakfast. We arrive the region of Seven Islands. In the Kufre bay, we suggest you a short walk through the storax (liquidambar) forest. Perhaps you can have your dinner as a barbecue tonight.

 



DAY 12 - Wednesday - GULET - Sailing (B,L,D)
We arrive the Cleopatra (Cedreae) island after a short cruise. On the west of the island, a wonderful little beach is situated. It’s said that the sand of this beach was brought for Cleopatra from the desert of North Africa. Late in the afternoon, we leave the island to anchor in one of the bays by Degimenbuku. In the afternoon after a short cruise we arrive at Karacasogut (This small village is only 30 kilometers from Marmaris).

 



DAY 13 - Thursday - GULET - Bodrum/Istanbul (B)
We have our l breakfast on board the gulet . and disembark around 10:00. Our local rep meets you at the marina for a transfer to Bodrum Airport for the 16:25 flight back to Istanbul. Another transfer from Istanbul Airport to your hotel. Overnight at Ayasofya Pansiyonlari in Istanbul. Or similar
