Your
cooking experience will start departing the pier on foot to the worldwide
known Les Rambles Avenue,
where the cooking class school is located.
(time permitting we may be able to do a brief visit to La Boqueria Market
before going to the Cooking Class
center)
Your guide will introduce you to the history of the " Les Rambles:
avenue as well as the city of Barcelona.
Your cooking experience will be fun and your participation will be fully
required.
The class will offer you the opportunity to learn how to cook authentic
specialties of Spanish and Catalan cuisine, some typical and some traditional
dishes. At the end of your cooking class your team will have the opportunity
to enjoy a full lunch, accompanied by a very good and selected Rioja
wine.
The cooking class will be a perfect occasion to get to get to know ehe
Spanish local cuisine and culture.
The class will focus on 4 typical dishes; at the end of your class a
full set of translated recipes will be provided to every guest and afterwards
we will proceed to enjoy lunch.
A sample of menu which would include the most typical dishes would be:

Gazpacho or Garlic soup (depending on season)
- Tortilla
de Patatas (egg and potato) with “pa amb tomaquet” (tomato
rubbed on farmer’s bread)
- Seafood
Paella
- Catalan
Cream (Catalan specialty similar to Crème Brulèe)

Recommended Departure times: 11:30 am or 17:30 pm – for

Level of Activity or walking: easy at Les Rambles is a flat avenue,
though cooking school has no elevator, 3rd floor with steps.

floor and there is no elevator, old building in Les Rambles, there are
6 rows of 12 steps each.

of the tours involve long bus rides and/or considerable walking, so
comfortable shoes are recommended.

bear in mind that shore excursion coaches are air conditioned and you
may wish to bring a light sweater.
On
tours that include visits to places of worship, shorts and bare shoulders
are not permitted.
