Explore Morocco, Cairo and Petra -- on this 12-day tour to Casablanca, Marrakech, Cairo and Petra. A bonus: journeys by train across the Moroccan countryside.

DAY 1 - OFF TO MOROCCO! Tuesday
Board a comfortable British Airways jet at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport for your nonstop flight to London.

Day 2 - CASABLANCA Wednesday (D) Our international flight arrives in Heathrow, Please take the shuttle (on your own) to Gatwick Airport to connect to British Airways to Casablanca. In Casablanca: After completing customs and immigration formalities, we escort you to your hotel. Complimentary fruit basket & mint tea upon arrival.

DAY 3 - MARRAKECH Thursday (BLD)
Our domestic flight which takes us south to mystical Marrakech. Our staff escorts us to our hotel. We board a horse-drawn carriage for a clip-clop tour of this ancient royal capital, including the Kotoubia, and a former royal palace, lunch in a charming local restaurant. Afternoon walking tour of the labyrinthine souks (bazaars). Dinner at the hotel

Day 4 - MARRAKECH Friday (B)
Now that you've got your bearings, today is yours to explore the city on your own. If you prefer, join one of our optional tours (for an additional fee): one takes you to a nearby Berber village, another takes you into the souks for a shopping spree.

Day 5 - BY TRAIN TO CASABLANCA Saturday (BLD)
"Getting there is half the fun!" We board the train for our return to Casablanca, cruising through the lovely countryside past green fields, fruit-laden orchards, traditional villages and modern towns, with the lofty Atlas Mountains soaring in the distance. Our tour escort points out interesting features, and fills us in on Moroccan life and culture. After arriving in Casablanca, we visit the majestic new Grand Mosque of King Hassan II, second only to the Great Mosque at Mecca in size. We continue on a panoramic tour of the city and its souks. After dinner, we drive to the airport for our Royal Air Maroc night flight across North Africa to Egypt

Day 6 - CAIRO Sunday (aBL)
We arrive in Cairo with the dawn, and drive through the awakening city to our hotel for breakfast and a bracing cup of coffee or tea. Refreshed, we visit Cairo's most famous monuments: the awesome pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple and the timeless Sphinx. After lunch we tour the treasure filled Egyptian Museum.

Visa will be issued upon arrival.
As you exit the gate, you will pass through a door or two , down some stairs , then walk for 2-5 minutes , until you pass the duty free shops, at the end of a wide corridor , you will see the security officers. There you will be met by a local representative, who will be holding a sign with the name you prefer to use for the sign .
Our local representative will then take your passport to obtain a stamp from the cashier / bank window and escort you to speak with the passport officer. He will escort you through another last check on your passport as you exit the passport control, into customs area, he will assist you in collecting your luggage and clearing customs . After exiting the terminal, our local representative will escort you (private vehicle) to the hotel

DAY 7 - CAIRO- Amman Monday (aB)
Fly to Amman. Our staff will meet you upon arrival and help with the transfer to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 8 - MADABA, KERAK & PETRA Tuesday (BD)
We drive south along the King's Highway, an ancient caravan route, to Madaba to visit the church containing the oldest known map of the Holy Land. Continuing to Mount Nebo, we enjoy the panoramic view of the Promised Land the way Moses saw it for the first time. Further on, at Kerak, we tour the ruins of its romantic Crusaders' castle of Renaud de Chatillon, one of a line which stretched from Aqaba to Turkey. Finally, we arrive to PETRA .

DAY 9 - PETRA Wednesday (BD)
Today the fabulous Nabatean City of Petra awaits us. Made famous in the Indiana Jones movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark," its ancient temples, tombs and striking Khazneh (Treasury) were hewn right from the pink and violet sandstone. We spend a full day here, and another night.

DAY 10-WADI RUM & AMMAN Thursday (BD)
We board four-wheel-drive vehicles for an expedition to Wadi Rum, the "Valley of the Moon" where T. E. Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia") organized Arab resistance to Ottoman rule during World War I. After our visit, we return to Amman for a home hosted dinner with a local family.

DAY 11 - JERASH Sunday (B) We drive to Jerash, among the best-preserved Roman cities in the world, to tour its temples, theaters, churches and colonnaded streets. From Jerash, we will escort you back to Amman.

DAY 12 -DEPARTURE Monday (B)
Proceed to Queen Alia Airport board your flight back to USA.

Note on Visas:
Western Europe, US and Japanese passport holders need a visa to enter Egypt and Jordan. We will provide it on a complimentary basis, upon arrival at Cairo & Amman Airports, for listed nationalities as long as you have a passport that is valid for at least for 6 month. Visas are not required of US and Japanese passport holders for entry into Morocco .
