DAY
1 - JERASH & AJLOUN - Friday
Our local rep meets you at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman
, and assists with entry formalities.
For morning arrivals : We drive to Jerash, the most beautifully preserved
and restored Greco-Roman provincial city of all. Jerash, only a 30-minute
drive from Amman, has three amphitheaters, two Roman baths, a hippodrome,
and several temples. There are still remains of shops which sold silks,
jewels, wine and spices. From Jerash we drive to Ajloun to tour the
12th century Saracen castle built by one of Saladin's lieutenants in
the campaign against the Crusaders. Finally, we drive to Amman and our
hotel.
For all late afternoon and evening arrivals you'll miss the tour today,
no credit for missed sightseeing.
Visa fee is included & is issued upon arrival for American , EU
, Australian, NZ, Singaporean & Japanese passport holders. Passport
must be valid at least for 6 month beyond the date of your arrival.
DAY
2 - MADABA & KERAK - Saturday (cB)
We drive to Petra along the King's Way, visiting Madaba, which has the
oldest map of the Holy Land, and Madaba's Mosaic School. Then it's on
to Mt Nebo and Moses' traditional burial site overlooking the Dead Sea
and the Jordan River Valley. We continue through the magnificent scenery
of Wadi Mujib to Kerak and the Krak des Chevaliers medieval Crusaders'
castle, stopping at Petra for the night.
DAY
3 - PETRA - Sunday (cB)
The fabulous Nabataean City of Petra, carved into rose-red desert sandstone
over 2000 years ago, was lost to the world for five centuries. Known
as Sela in the Bible, it was rediscovered in 1812. Petra can be reached
only by passing between the steep, high sandstone wall of a narrow gorge
('the Siq'). The dramatic view of its Treasury was made famous in the
movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." Besides the Treasury,
we visit the Roman theater, the courts, Qasr Bint Pharaoun, the Temple
of the Winged Lion and other monuments. You may climb up to the monastery
if you like. We relax for another night in our Petra hotel.
DAY
4 - WADI RUM / Cairo Monday (cB)
We visit the awesome moonscape of the Wadi Rum desert by four-wheel-drive
vehicle, covering some of the ground where "Lawrence of Arabia" was
filmed. We then escort you to Amman Airport to fly onward to Cairo (
air ticket is included , issued & delivered in Amman)
If
there is airline schedule change, and the evening flight from Amman
to Cairo is canceled then we fly tomorrow morning .
Our
local Cairo rep greets you and escorts you through the excitement and
hubbub of the terminal, and onward to your hotel. Traditional sweets
await you, with our compliments.
Visa fee is included & issued upon arrival. Available only to American,
Japanese , Canadian, Singaporean & EU citizens, your passport must
be valid for at least 6 month beyond the date of arrival.

DAY
5 - CAIRO Tuesday (BL)
We
visit the Egyptian Museum including the "Mummies Room" , Citadel
of Saladin and Alabaster Mosque. In the afternoon we fulfill your dream
of seeing the Pyramids at Giza and the Great Sphinx.
For those interested a complimentary camel ride ( maybe as a PHOTO OP
with the camel & the Pyramid ! ) Lunch will be served at a local
restaurant.
DAY
6 - ASWAN Wednesday (BLD)
Private
air condition Sedan / vehicle for your airport transfers. Private chauffeur
Early morning flight to Aswan ( All domestic flights are included -
Complimentary business class upgrade, subject to availability ) Upon
arrival at Aswan, your cabin may not be ready entail lunch time.
Relax , unpack, and settle in on your Nile cruiser. A
welcome fruit basket awaits you on board your Nile Cruise.

in the mystic secrets of ancient Egypt, to read the future in your palm
or your coffee grounds!
After
lunch we tour the mighty Aswan dams, old and new, then board a motor
launch to visit the Temples of Philae, moved to an island and
saved from the rising waters of the Nile after building the High Dam.
DAY
7 - KOM OMBO Thursday (BLD)
Our Nile vessel cruises serenely down the Nile for a visit to the great
twin-temple at Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile river
god, and Haroeris, the solar disk.
Relax
on deck or on your private terrace, and gaze at timeless Egypt as we
sail for Edfu .
In the evening, we'll celebrate in Egyptian style, dressed in galabias
( A Galabia will be delivered to your cabin with our compliments),
the galabia is the flowing national costume.
While you are on board the cruise, afternoon tea will be served daily
on deck.
DAY
8 - EDFU & LUXOR Friday (BLD)
We board horse-drawn carriages (or motor vans) for the short ride through
Edfu to the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved in Egypt. Then
we drive beside the Nile to the Valley of the Kings including Tutankamon's
tomb , the magnificent tomb-temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the Valley
of the Queens.
Followed by the Colossi of Memnon, before returning to Luxor,
we tour the gigantic Great Temple of Amon at Karnak.
DAY
9 - SHARM EL SHEIK Saturday (B)
We fly over the Sinai peninsula to Sharm El Sheik, and head for
the beach!
Sharm El Sheikh .Private air condition car always for your transfers.
We'll settle you into your hotel in Sharm : First Class : Novotel or
similar . Deluxe : Marriott, Sonesta , Hyatt Hotel or similar.

10 MOUNT SINAI - St. CATHERINE ( Santa Katarina / Catarina ) Monastery
- Sunday (BL)
Snacks will be provided for your breakfast on the go .
In the cool
before sunrise, we drive into the wilderness of Sinai, through
which Moses led his people to the Promised Land. Our goal is the
Monastery of St. Catherine, built on the site of the burning
bush at the base of Mount Sinai. We cant tour the monastery on
Fridays and Sundays, only the exterior , yet for guests going on the
"private " tour arriving on other dates , may tour the Monastery
, which will always be closed on religious holidays, rich in history,icons
and sacred paintings, returning to Sharm late in the evening.
You must be in good physical condition if you wish to consider climbing
Mt. Sinai. The climb is not recommended for those affected by heights

Please advise us early on , if you prefer to do Mount Sinai / St. Catherine's
tour by Jeep versus air conditioned sedan / vehicle
DAY
11 - CAIRO Monday (B)
We return to Cairo by plane and connect with your International
flight. Our local rep will assist with the luggage & formalities.
If
you have a very early morning flight, then suggest that you fly back
to Cairo on Day 10 .
