Day
1: ARRIVAL IN TOKYO
You arrive today at the New Tokyo International Airport (Narita). After
clearing immigration and customs , you'll retrieve your baggage and
meet our local rep in the arrival lobby on the first floor,
after you exit from the Customs area
Welcome
to Tokyo! Your van ride will provide a first view of the Japanese capital,
so modern and familiar, and yet so different. Streets are busy but orderly
and neat, lights and signs glitter everywhere, alternating with serene
green oases.
When checking-in, you will receive an envelope with tour
vouchers and bus coupons for departure transfer. Accommodations
at HOTEL GRAND PALACE for 2 nights ( or other hotels as listed below
based on your choice of hotel /category)
Day 2 : TOKYO
You'll take a tour of Tokyo this morning, and you'll take in all of
the essentials. Sunrise Tours will call for you promptly at 8:20 a.m.
Be ready! You'll see the Meiji Shrine and its surprisingly tranquil
grounds so near the heart of the city, along with the Imperial East
Garden (or, on Monday or Friday, the Plaza of the Imperial Palace).
You'll continue to the Asakusa Kannon Temple, for an understanding of
Japanese spirituality, so closely tied to the physical environment.
Of course, since this is Japan, you'll see the latest consumer marvels
at the Nakamise shopping arcade. You'll conclude right in the heart
of Tokyo's most exciting district, the Ginza, full of restaurants, electronic
showcases, and avant-garde shops on every level of its glittering buildings.
Continue your adventure in Tokyo on your own, and make your way back
to your lodgings by taxi or the efficient subway system.
Day 3 : Tokyo -Mt. Fuji ( Lunch included)
Our local rep will call for you between 07:30 AM & 08:30 AM, and
soon you'll be on your way out of Tokyo and into the ordered countryside
of Japan by motor coach. Before long, the perfect and majestic form
of Mount Fuji will come into view. You'll approach, and continue to
ascend the mountain itself, up as high as the halfway point. Your full
day continues with a sedate cruise on placid Lake Ashi, and an ascent
on the aerial cableway on Mount Komagatake. Take a break for lunch with
familiar western fare along the way at the Hotel Highland Resort. Overnight
at Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en Course (F810) , Hakone Prince Hotel (F860)
, or Yumoto Fujiya Ryokan (F890) , based on your choice/ preference
.
Day
4 :Hakone
Enjoy the Onsen / hot spring at the hotel, or take advantage of the
day pass ( included ) , that includes the mountain train , cable car
, and local bus in Hakone area ( This day pass allows you to ride
for free : Hakone Tozan Bus/Train/Cable-car, Hakone Rope-way, Hakone
Sightseeing Ship & Odakyu Express Bus )
Use
the local bus to get to Odwara Train station ( about 40 - 60 minutes
ride) to board the Shinkansen heading back to Tokyo, train ticket
is included in our rate .
Return
to Tokyo by Shinkansen train, arriving around 8:00 PM. (Shinkansen
bullet train reservation is fixed , but . If you prefer to return
to Tokyo earlier in the day , please tell us at the time you make
your reservations, tickets are not changeable, and are non refundable.)
Arrive
Tokyo and proceed on your own to your own hotel or ask us for assistance
booking your hotel. In Tokyo Information on transportation in Tokyo
back to your hotel will be provided by the tour guide
.
Day
5 : DEPART FROM TOKYO
Rooms are available until 12:00 noon, regular check-out time.
Leave the hotel for Narita Airport by regular airport bus with the
bus coupons on your own (no meeting services).
Reservations for the bus have been made by us in advance and the departure
time is shown on your tour vouchers.
Depart New Tokyo International Airport (Narita) by your flight.
