Day 1 : TOKYO - KYOTO

Tour starts daily in Tokyo : Jan 5 - Dec 29 .
Train Tickets and Kyoto hotel voucher will be delivered to your hotel in Tokyo the night before.
Please advise us of your hotel name in Tokyo, or ask us to assist with your hotel booking in Tokyo. The train ticket will list a departure between 10:30 and 12:40 , you should be in Kyoto between 13:20 and 15:30

To understand Japan, it's essential to include a visit to Kyoto, the old imperial capital steeped in tradition and culture. We make it easy for the independent-minded traveler. With the two-day, one-night Shinkansen Tour, you'll speed to Kyoto on the ultramodern Bullet Train.

You'll make your way to Tokyo Station ( on your own) in the late morning to board the Shinkansen Hikari Super Express train bound for Kyoto. Make sure to recheck the tickets that were delivered to your hotel the night before. This train always leaves on time! If you prefer that we help with your transfer , please let's know in advance , supplement applies.

In minutes, you'll speed out of the city, into the countryside of gently rolling hills and neatly tended fields, and pass breathtakingly close to the perfect form of Mount Fuji. Almost before you settle in, you'll find yourself approaching Kyoto. You'll make your way to your hotel, where you can drop your overnight bag. Then it's off to explore.

 

Board a Shinkansen Hikari Super Express train bound for Kyoto
Arrive at Kyoto station . Transfer to your hotel on your own . Or ask us for help with the transfer at an additional cost . Rooms are available from the regular check-in time. The rest of the day is for you to explore on your own as you wish.

 

In Kyoto : You'll discover a modern city, but also, narrow streets and byways, and heritage buildings redolent of tradition. Don't miss Nijo Castle with its exquisite interior decoration, the Golden Pavilion, and the ancient Imperial Palace

Day 2 : KYOTO

Continue your own explorations of Kyoto today. We can arrange tours to :
The Imperial Palace in Kyoto , or Katsura Imperial Villa , or Shugakuin Imperial Villa

Day 3 : KYOTO - TOKYO

Continue your own explorations of Kyoto today.

Remember that your room will be available until checkout, approximately at noon.

You'll make your way ( on your own ) to Kyoto Station where you'll board the Hikari Train , the train ticket will specify the time : between 12:00 and 14:00 to reach Tokyo between 14:40 and 16:40 .

You'll proceed on your own to your hotel.

This tour operates daily January 5 -December 29 .

Please note, this tour is for the independent-minded visitor. You'll arrange your own travel between station and hotel, while you'll know that your room will be waiting for you. The Shinkansen train has limited luggage space. An overnight bag is recommended.
