Day 1 : Tokyo -Mount. Fuji (L)
Your motor coach will pick you up by between 7:30 & 8:30 a.m. at the hotel in Tokyo, and before long, you'll be out past the suburbs and into the neatly tended countryside beyond. Mount Fuji with its perfect, snow-capped conical shape will hover into view, ever more impressive as you approach. You'll continue right onto the slopes of Japan's highest mountain, and ascend to the halfway point at 2300 meters (7600 feet) for spectacular views of rolling fields, orchards, lakes, and streams. There will be a break for lunch at the Highland Resort, then the day will continue with a relaxing cruise on Lake Ashi, and a breathtaking ride on the Mt. Komagatake aerial tramway. A comfortable bed will be waiting in nearby Hakone, at either the Hotel Kowaki-en or the Hakone Prince Hotel, as selected.

Day 2 :Hakone - Tokyo
Appreciate and enjoy Mount Fuji on your own today. Soak your aches and cares away in the onsen, the hot springs bath at the hotel.
We'll give you a day pass that allows you unlimited use of the mountain train, cable car, lifts, lake cruises, and local buses in the Hakone area. Hike where you choose on the mountain's slopes, and enjoy the panorama from any place you please.
Toward the end of the afternoon, board the local bus to Odawara station (allow about an hour for the ride). Here you'll catch the Bullet Train. We'll make your reservation to get you to Tokyo in less than an hour, by 8 p.m., or earlier if you wish. (Please note that once made, reservations may not be changed.) It's easy to take a taxi, subway, or walk to whichever hotel you've chosen. Of course, we'll be pleased to provide assistance with booking a room.
