A chance to spend a delightful day out of Rome, to visit Umbria, one of the most picturesque regions of Italy rich in vineyards, olive trees and the famous hill-top villages across the valley. The route is dotted with charming medieval towns such as Orvieto, renowned for its beautiful Cathedral (visit), Spoleto (Giancarlo Menotti’s Festival dei Due Mondi), Trevi, Foligno, Spello and most famous of all Assisi. The mystic town of Saint Francis, still surrounded by the ancient walls, is built on the green slopes of Mount Subasio with its colorful houses of pink stone. Narrow streets, flower-decked balconies, noble palaces, all provide beautiful views for memorable pictures (do not forget your camera). An interesting visit to St. Francis Basilica with its early renaissance master-pieces of Giotto and Cimabue and the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
Enjoy browsing in the old town, shopping in the little stores and in the artisan shops, plus a pleasant lunch in a restaurant with a typical Umbrian menu.
Our tour will end at the hotel in Rome, at about 7.00 p.m. traffic permitting.

12 - Full Day Excursion: FLORENCE - With Lunch

Florence - Ponte Vecchio (From March 1 to November 15: daily departures excluding Mondays and Wednesdays
From November 16 to February 29: departures only on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.)
DEPARTURE 07.15 A.M.
After leaving the agency, the tour will cross the city and take the Autostrada del Sole, northbound (major Italian highway). During the trip, some of the most beautiful Italian regions will be crossed: Lazio, Umbria and Toscana. Arrival in Florence at approximately 11.30 a.m. The tour of the city will include the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Giotto's Belltower and Baptistry, the Academy with Michelangelo's David (visit), della Signoria's Square and Palace. Lunch in a typical restaurant will follow. In the afternoon the tour will proceed to Piazza Santa Croce. Free time at your disposal. The drive continues to Piazzale Michelangelo from where a magnificent view of this Renaissance city can be admired, including Ponte Vecchio.
At approximately 5.00 p.m. departure for Rome. Arrival is scheduled for 8.30 p.m., traffic permitting.
Clients will be accompanied back to their hotels, or in the immediate vicinity.

13 - Full Day Excursion: NAPLES - CAPRI- ANACAPRI - With Lunch

Capri After leaving the agency, the tour will cross the city and take the Autostrada del Sole (major Italian highway) . The region of Ciociaria will be passed with a view (from the Autostrada del Sole) of the
Abbey of Montecassino. Upon arrival in Naples, embark and departure for the Island of Capri. Upon arrival at Marina Grande, weather and sea conditions permitting, visit the Blue Grotto; return to Marina Grande to depart by minibus for a panoramic tour of the Island ending at Anacapri, characteristic village situated at the foot of Mt. Solaro.
After lunch in a local restaurant, free time to explore and go shopping. At approximately 3.30 p.m. meet at the harbor.
Departure for Rome at approximate. 5.30 p.m. The arrival is scheduled for 9.30 p.m., traffic permitting.
Clients will be taken back to their hotels, or in the immediate vicinity.
N.B.In the event of rough sea in the Bay of Naples clients will be taken to Pompei instead and the difference in price refunded.

14 - Full Day Excursion: NAPLES, POMPEI Price per Person $ 160

We leave the agency and join the Autostrada del Sole. After passing the Castelli Romani, hillsides completely covered by vineyards, we will cross the region of Ciociaria with a view (from the Autostrada del Sole) of the Abbey of Montecassino, completely rebuilt after the 2nd world war. Upon arrival in Naples a panoramic view of the city: Mergellina, Lungomare Caracciolo, Castle dell’Ovo, District of Santa Lucia, Piazza Plebiscito, Palazzo Reale, Church of San Francesco di Paola, Teatro San Carlo, Galleria Umberto I, Il Maschio Angioino, Piazza del Municipio, Il Porto.
Continue to Pompei, where, after lunch in a local restaurant, there will be a visit to the excavations of this famous Roman city which was completely destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
At approximate 5.30 p.m. departure for Rome. The arrival is scheduled for 9.30 p.m., traffic permitting.
