ALICUDI

With its 5,2 square km, it is the smallest among the Eolian islands and the farthest from Sicily. It was originally a volcano, like all the other islands and its shape is an half circle. Its environment is dark green because of beautiful capers plants and because of many olive trees and vineyards. The taller peack of the island is the “Timpone della Montagnola”, 675 meters tall. One the most attractive things are the jets of cold air of 7 grades centigrades called “rifriscatura”(refrigerating) that until today are used to keep the food cold and preserved.
