Day 2 , Athens- Private Tour (BL)
A morning private guided sightseeing tour takes us to all the high points : The Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Syntagma Square, The Parliament and, the new Acropolis Museum and of course the world famous Acropolis . Lunch is included at a charming local restaurant. Afternoon leisurely walk of the ancient district of the Plaka with a stop at a local cafe for tea / coffee and Greek cookies ..

Day 3 , Athens - Santorini (B)
We'll rendezvous in time to take you to your morning flight heading for Santorini ( economy Class ) . On arrival, we'll see that you're checked in to your hotel. Santorini Hotel/Apartments/ Villas

Day 4 , Athens / Santorini (B)
AAAAH , Santorini , a true Mediterranean paradise . Enjoy a full day on your own to explore the island as you wish.

Day 5 , Santorini (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your lovely hotel and linger for as long as you wish. The day is your as you please.

Day 6 , Santorini (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel . You may wish to consider one of the optional tours such as : optional tour to the archaeological site of Akrotiri, reputed to be the center of the lost civilization of Atlantis. Fira is the capital (largest city) while Oia and Firostefani are 2 other towns. This is a brief description of these 2 places.  Firostefani, a suburb of the capital Fira (less than 1 km from the center), offering the same stunning views of the magnificent caldera, at a slight distance from all the action.  Firostefani also has a very picturesque square, and a beautiful church dedicated to St. Gerasimos, that is surrounded by cypress trees.  The stroll from Fira to Firostefani can be completed in roughly 20 minutes, although it usually takes at least an hour because of frequent pauses to enjoy the view. Oia is on the northern tip of the island and is about 11 km from Fira, built on a steep slope of the caldera. Oia is quieter than Fira, but easy enough to hop a bus or grab a taxi into town to visit the capital.  Its streets are charming narrow passageways that twist their way along the rim of the caldera, and down the slope of the cliff. There are plenty of tourist shops, but they are of a different, more artisan, quality than the more traditional tourist offerings of Fira, and there rare also a number of beautiful commercial galleries.

Day 7 , Departure From Santorini to Istanbul via Athens (B)
We'll pick you up and see you to Santorini Airport, fly to Athens, please proceed to connect with the flights going to Istanbul ( air ticket is included in economy class ). Kalo Taxidi!

These ancient monuments float on the skyline of a bustling modern metropolis of ten million people. Your rep. will reconfirm locally the time you prefer for tomorrow tour, we suggest to meet around 8:30 AM or 9 AM

DAY 8 - ISTANBUL (BL)
The center of ancient Constantinople and Istanbul was on Seraglio Point, framed by the Golden Horn, the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara. We visit the Blue Mosque, built by Sultan Ahmet III to challenge the architectural primacy of neighboring Sancta Sophia. We then walk next door to compare achievements in Justinian's great Sancta Sophia. Right behind Sancta Sophia is our next stop, sumptuous Topkapi Palace, the sultans seraglio for centuries, filled with breathtaking exhibits of priceless jewels, golden thrones, delicate colored tiles, and lavish court costumes. After lunch in a local restaurant ,we tour the Treasury of the sultans, and the Costume Gallery , then finish up in the bustling Egyptian Bazaar and walk through the maze of colors , spices and perfumes. Return to your hotel with sounds and colors of your first day of touring in Istanbul

DAY 9 - Izmir and Selcuk (BL)
In the morning , fly to Izmir , we ascend Kadifekale, Izmir's hill crowned by a fortress built by Alexander the Great, to enjoy the view. Then on to Selcuk . Lunch is included in Izmir or Selcuk in a charming local restaurant. Sample Hotel : Kalehan Hotel or similar.

DAY 10 - Ephesus - Sirince Village (BL)
Breakfast then it's off to biblical Ephesus to see the Basilica of St John the Evangelist, who came here with the Virgin Mary. Passing the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, we reach Ephesus, the most impressive ancient city on the Mediterranean.
After our tour, we continue to the fine Ephesus Museum and the hilltop House of the Virgin Mary, said to be her last home on earth. Lunch is included at a local charming restaurant. Sirince Village: This old Orthodox Village, 30 kilometers from Kusadasi, was once "Cirkince"(ugly). Indeed its inhabitants gave this name on the purpose as they did not want to be bothered by foreigners nor to share the beauty of their village. Still after years, visitors understood that the village was not ugly and called it "Sirince" (pretty). Today the village is a perfect synthesis of Turkish-Greek culture as of the 1920's; after the Turkish Independence War, people exchange between Greek and Turks has occurred and all the typical Greek houses, though they kept their original outside characteristics, have received the local layout inside. At Sirince Village you will have chance of seeing the local life at a village and purchasing some small local souvenirs and handicrafts. The village is also famous for its local grape and other fruit wines. During the lunch, mingle with the local people of the village as you will be a guest in their village for a simple cup of traditional Turkish coffee at the main coffee house of the village. Depending on the number of guests, a gypsy woman may read your fortune after you finish your coffee .

DAY 11 - Selcuk - PRINE , MILETUS - DIDYMA (BL)
A short drive brings us to the well-preserved ruins of Priene, a very ancient city perched above the aptly-named Meander River. We next tour Miletus, where the philosopher Thales was born. Finally, we tour the gigantic oracular temple at Didyma, which challenged the primacy of Delphi, lunch is included in a charming local restaurant before returning to your hotel in Selcuk.

DAY 12 - DEPARTURE - Izmir- Istanbul (B)
We escort you to the airport at Izmir , air fare is included back to Istanbul . End of our services. At Istanbul Airport connect on your own to your flight home, this tour / rate doesn't included international air fare, we are happy to help with international air fare from / to you USA upon request ). Subject: We're Back!

We just wanted to let you know we made it back home after our weeklong detour through Italy. Athens was fantastic. The tours were very good, and short of heading out to the islands, I can't think of a single thing we would have rather done while there.



Although we had an excellent time in Athens, Egypt was by far the highlight of our entire trip, including Italy. We just can't say enough
about Ahmed, Isis, Ashraf, and all our drivers. We simply could not have done the trip without their help. Ahmed was very professional, courteous, and helpful, and always went out of his way to make sure we were where we needed to be at the right time. Our Egyptologist guides, Isis and Ashraf, were both very knowledgeable and made our visit so much better with their endless supply of information. We wore out both days long before they did. We will definitely try to come back to Egypt when we have more time to spend.
