DAY
1 - ARRIVAL IN ATHENS - Tuesday - Weekly : March - Oct
Our Athens-based personnel meets you at the international airport, assists
you with the formalities, and sees you to your charming and comfortable
four-star hotel, your base for the next two nights. Check in, relax,
then take a stroll through the lively streets. Browse for treasures
and curios, savor a coffee or aperitif at a terrace café, or enjoy a
fine meal in the old Plaka district. All transfers in Greece and Egypt
are always on a private basis. Private air-conditioned vehicle, private
chauffeur .
DAY
2 - ATHENS- Private Tour -Wednesday (BL)
Enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Greek capital, today we
have included a private half day tour of Syntagma Square, and the towering
Acropolis. Lunch is included in a charming local restaurant .
In the evening : your guide will call on you for a private leisurely
walk through the plaka district with tea or coffee in one of the local
cafes.
DAY
3 - Cairo- Thursday (BD)
After breakfast, we escort you to the airport
for your flight to Cairo on Egyptair or Olympic Airways. Air fare is
included in our rate , business class, tax included
. In Cairo , our representative greets
you at the airport and whisks you to your hotel. Visa
fee is payable in cash upon arrival $15 USD , exact change please, only
in cash. Visa will be issued upon arrival at Cairo Airport for :
EU , American, Australian, NZ , Canadian, Singaporean and Japanese citizens.
You are responsible for having your passport in order valid at least
for 6 month beyond the date of your arrival in Cairo.
All
transfers in Greece and Egypt are always on a private basis. Private
air-conditioned vehicle, private chauffeur .
DAY
4 - CAIRO - Friday- Private
Tour (BLD)
On your first full day in Egypt we show you the Egyptian Museum,
the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Citadel of Saladin,
and the Mohammed Ali Mosque, made of alabaster. Lunch is included
at the Mena House . All
tours in Cairo are always on a private basis. Private air-conditioned
vehicle, private chauffeur and private guide .Dinner is included at
La Bodega Restaurant.
Day
5 - Saturday - Cairo to Luxor and board your
deluxe air conditioned Felucca (BLD)
Very
early morning breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport. Flight is included
in our rate, in business class , subject to availability , tax included
. Morning arrival at Luxor . We'll meet you at the airport , and
escort you to your
deluxe air conditioned Nile cruise felucca or dahabbiya , Board Luxor
( or Aswan ) .
Embarkation in Luxor for a relaxing week sailing the Nile on a luxuriously
appointed Dahabbiya.
After
lunch, excursion to the West Bank for visits to the burial places of
the Pharaohs - the Valley of the Kings - where Howard Carter discovered
the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. Continue to the adjacent Valley of
the Queens, the temple of Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon.
Overnight
moored on the Nile banks of Luxor. Sample

the evening , your guide will call on you for a horse-drawn carriage
ride throughout Luxor souks and Bazaar, as well as the water front.

6 - Sunday - Luxor - On board your Yacht Nile Cruise
You will visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak,
with its vast hypostyle hall of 137 columns, followed by the imposing
28 th Dynasty Luxor Temple. Overnight
moored in Luxor.
Day
7 - Monday - Luxor to Esna - On board your Yacht Nile
Cruise
Today will be a leisurely day. After breakfast, commence sailing to
Esna where your Dahabbiya will moor

8 - Tuesday - Edfu - On board your Yacht Nile Cruise
This morning you will sail to Edfu to visit the wonderfully preserved
Temple of Edfu. Overnight
on board as we will look for an island in the middle of the Nile where
we moor.

9 - Wednesday - Kom Ombo - On board your Yacht Nile
Cruise
Today you will sail to Kom Ombo visit see the Ptolemaic temple dedicated
to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus, god of the morning
sun. Overnight
moored beside a Nile island.
Day
10 - Thursday - Aswan - On board your Yacht Nile Cruise
A leisurely day sailing to Aswan where the dahabiyya moors overnight.

11 - Friday - Aswan - Abu Simbel - Cairo - (BL)
Today you will visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis,
a structure rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time
of the High Dam's construction, after
which we
take a short flight to Abu Simbel. Your private air-conditioned
vehicle, private chauffeur and private guide will be waiting for you
at the airport : There we'll marvel at the temples dedicated to Ramses
the Great and Queen Nefertari, saved from rising waters of the Nile
when the High Dam was built , in
the larger temple, colossal figures of Ramses are seated with the
gods and attended by his queen and daughters.
The smaller temple is dedicated to Queen Nefertari, who appears
as Hathor, the goddess of love, joy and fertility, symbolized by the
benevolent cow. Fly
back to Cairo and your hotel .
DAY 12 - CAIRO
, ATHENS , SANTORINI (B)
We'll call for you and see you to the airport for your flight over the
blue Mediterranean to Athens , air fare is included ( economy class
, tax included , then connect and fly over the Aegean to Santorini (Air
fare included as well ) , Isle of Ancient " Atlantis ?!" ,
where you'll find a room waiting in a beach hotel. Or a cliff -side
Villa hotel .
DAY
13 - Santorini (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your lovely hotel (or Villa),or venture out,to explore
ON YOUR OWN.
Some suggestion that you may wish to consider (on your own):
Akrotiri , reputedly the site of fabled Atlantis. Then on to Athinios
port to take a boat across to eh dormant volcano, and ascend through
a crater-pocked moonscape to the crater. Visit Thirassia Island and
watch sunset in Oia. Return to your hotel/villa early evening, the decision
is totally yours.
DAY
14 - Santorini- Own activities(B)
To stay in your lovely hotel and enjoy the beach, the service, and the
amenities, or to venture out to explore some of the dramatic cliffs,
coves, and villages . . . that is the question! No doubt, you'll mix
a bit of both; Relax, and revisit a favorite café or shop ,sip an ouzo
or retsina at a waterside café, discover a beach or two, pick up a loaf
of fresh bread and cheese and olives, and picnic on a hillside as you
look out to sailboats at sea. Your days will be filled.
DAY
15 - SANTORINI, CRETE (B)
We'll rendezvous in time to take you to your flight to Crete, Heraklion&
your hotel. Flights operate only on Thu & Sat, on other days,
it will be the fast ferry which is 2 hours ( business class ) , or flights
via Athens (Supplement applies$ $182).
DAY
16 - CRETE (B)
Enjoy your stay at the hotel or explore one of the beaches. Or explore
on your own the Venetian part of the old town , see below more details

17 - DEPARTURE (B)
Do your last-minute shopping this morning, or just linger deliciously
in bed. Then we'll call for you and see you to the airport to begin
your journey home.

We had a perfect vacation in Greece!
Dinner our first night at the rooftop restaurant of the Titania overlooking
the Acropolis as the sun set and the lights came on!
Santorini was magical - though we enjoyed the sunsets from Fira instead
of Oia. We did rent an ATV and got to Red Beach and Oia on day trips.
The ferry to Crete made half the boat sick - but not us!
The Movenpick in Crete was really beautiful - a luxurious place to rest
after a long week.
We were upgraded to executive suites by both the Titania and the Athens
airport Sofitel, you should know. They took good care of us!
We loved the Ouzo, the shopping, the sunsets, the beaches, the colors
of the sea and sky, the friendly waiters, the people at the Tzekos Villas,
the shop owners - we loved Greece!
We WILL return someday, especially to Santorini!
And contacting you via the Internet to arrange it was the perfect way
to set it up.
Let us know if we owe you money - the hotels said everything was pre-paid
though we charged a few things, like bottled water, to our rooms.
