DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN ATHENS
Our Athens-based personnel meets you at the international airport, assists you with the formalities, and sees you to your charming and comfortable four-star hotel, your base for the next two nights. Check in, relax, then take a stroll through the lively streets. Browse for treasures and curios, savor a coffee or aperitif at a terrace café, or enjoy a fine meal in the old Plaka district. All transfers in Greece and Egypt are always on a private basis. Private air-conditioned vehicle, private chauffeur .

DAY 2 - ATHENS- Private Tour (BL)
Enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Greek capital, today we have included a private half day tour of Syntagma Square, and the towering Acropolis. Lunch is included in a charming local restaurant . In the evening : your guide will call on you for a private leisurely walk thru the plaka district with tea or coffee in one of the local cafes.

DAY 3 - Cairo (BD)
After breakfast, we escort you to the airport for your flight to Cairo on Egyptair or Olympic Airways. Air fare is included in our rate , business class, tax included .

In Cairo , our representative greets you at the airport and whisks you to your hotel. Visa fee is payable in cash upon arrival $15 USD , exact change please, only in cash. Visa will be issued upon arrival at Cairo Airport for : EU , American, Australian, NZ , Canadian, Singaporean & Japanese citizens. You are responsible for having your passport in order valid at least for 6 month beyond the date of your arrival in Cairo.
Dinner is included at the hotel, if the flight is delayed and the restaurant is closed, then room service will be provided at no extra charge , pre-set menu dinner . After exiting the terminal, our local representative will escort you (private vehicle) to the hotel. All transfers in Greece and Egypt are always on a private basis. Private air-conditioned vehicle, private chauffeur .

DAY 4 - CAIRO (BLD)
On your first full day in Egypt we show you the Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Citadel of Saladin, and the Mohammed Ali Mosque, made of alabaster. Lunch is included at the Mena House, dinner is included at La Bodega restaurant . All tours in Cairo are always on a private basis. Private air-conditioned vehicle, private chauffeur and private guide .

DAY 5 - Cairo / Abu Simbel / ASWAN, Board your Nile Cruise : Camel Caravan! (BLD)
Board the Nile Cruise in Aswan or Luxor and board our Nile cruiser in time for a delicious lunch.

Early morning flight to Aswan , then after a brief stop , we take a short flight to Abu Simbel. There we'll marvel at the temples dedicated to Ramses the Great and Queen Neferatri, saved from rising waters of the Nile when the High Dam was built,in the larger temple, colossal figures of Ramses are seated with the gods and attended by his queen and daughters.
The smaller temple is dedicated to Queen Nefertari, who appears as Hathor, the goddess of love, joy and fertility, symbolized by the benevolent cow.

Fly back to Aswan and your Nile Cruise :
Complimentary welcome fruit basket awaits you in your cabin.
In the afternoon we enjoy a leisurely sail by graceful felucca on the Nile. Only for those who are interested: a short camel caravan and ride for almost half an hour to visit a local Nubian Village. Cabin amenity: Local sweets platter. 2 large bottles of water.

DAY 6 - ASWAN - KOM OMBO - on board your Nile cruise (BLD)
First we tour new Nubian Museum then the awesome Aswan dams, and next an ancient granite quarry complete with an unfinished obelisk. Then we go by motor launch to the island temples of Philae. Re-embarking on our Nile cruiser, we sail downstream to Kom Ombo to visit its twin temples. Cabin amenity: Galabya. In the evening : your guide will call on you for a horse-drawn carriage ride throughout the local souks and waterfront.

DAY 7 - EDFU - ESNA - on board your Nile cruise (BLD)
We moor in Edfu, climb aboard horse-drawn carriages, and clip-clop through the town to the Temple of Horus, Egypt's best-preserved temple. Re-embarking, we cruise to Esna and its great temple dedicated to Khnum ( we included a tour of Esna Temple) , the creator-god. Evening finds us in Luxor. Cabin amenity: Fruit basket- 2 large bottles of water

DAY 8 - LUXOR - on board your Nile cruise (BLD)
Today we 'll be touring instead : Ancient Workers Village at Deir El Medineh, the first known "Workers Village" these were the true creative heroes who built the temples & tombs for the mighty Pharaohs of the Nile Kingdom.

Deir El Medinah is on Luxor's west bank you get a totally different perspective on ancient Egyptian life, at the ancient workers' settlement of Deir el-Medinah. While most of the imposing stone monuments and sites of Egypt honor the lives and after-lives of royalty, Deir el-Medinah gives us unique and surprising insights into the ordinary citizens who constructed and decorated the tombs.

Here we'll see the excavated homes shared by laborers with their domestic animals. These quarters were surprisingly large, with three good-sized rooms, courtyard, kitchen, and even storage cellars. While ancient Egypt might not have been a workers' paradise, we'll see that artisans and builders were highly regarded in their community. We are proud to be the only operator to offer regular visits to this singular ancient settlement in its tour and cruise programs.

Today's tour include as well a visit to the Valley of the Kings including Tut-Ank-Amon's tomb , temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, and Colossi of Memnon, returning to our Nile cruiser for lunch. Following lunch aboard, we visit the great Temple of Luxor, and the gigantic Great Temple of Amon at Karnak, returning to our vessel in time for tea. Complimentary welcome fruit basket in your cabin. In the evening your guide will call on you for a horse-drawn carriage ride throughout Luxor souks and waterfront, before we head back to Karnak Temple for the Sound and Light show ( please bring a jacket with you).

DAY 9 - LUXOR - CAIRO (BD)
Breakfast, check-out, tour Luxor Museum then head to the airport to board a return flight to Cairo. In the afternoon, wander through the city on your own, or do your last-minute shopping, dinner is included tonight at Zeitouni at the Four Seasons . Add an extra night in Cairo ? Please click here

DAY 10 - CAIRO , ATHENS , SANTORINI (B)
We'll call for you and see you to the airport for your flight over the blue Mediterranean to Athens , air fare is included ( economy class , tax included , then connect and fly over the Aegean to Santorini (Air fare included as well ) , Isle of Ancient " Atlantis ?!", where you'll find a room waiting in a beach hotel. Or a cliff -side Villa .

DAY 11 - Santorini (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your lovely hotel (or Villa),or venture out,to explore ON YOUR OWN.
Some suggestion that you may wish to consider (on your own):
Akrotiri,reputedly the site of fabled Atlantis. Then on to Athinios port to take a boat across to eh dormant volcano, and ascend through a crater-pocked moonscape to the crater. Visit Thirassia Island and watch sunset in Oia. Return to your hotel/villa early evening, the decision is totally yours.

DAY 12 - Santorini- Own activities(B)
To stay in your lovely hotel and enjoy the beach, the service, and the amenities, or to venture out to explore some of the dramatic cliffs, coves, and villages . . . that is the question! No doubt, you'll mix a bit of both; Relax, and revisit a favorite café or shop ,sip an ouzo or retsina at a waterside café, discover a beach or two, pick up a loaf of fresh bread and cheese and olives, and picnic on a hillside as you look out to sailboats at sea. Your days will be filled.

DAY 13 - SANTORINI, CRETE (B)
We'll rendezvous in time to take you to your flight to Crete, Heraklion& your hotel. Flights operate only on Thursday & Saturday , on other days, it will be the fast ferry which is 2 hours ( business class ) , or flights via Athens (Supplement applies$ $182).

DAY 14 - CRETE (B)
Enjoy your stay at the hotel or explore one of the beaches. Or explore on your own the Venetian part of the old town , see below more details on tours in Crete.

DAY 15 - DEPARTURE (B)

We just wanted to let you know we made it back home after our weeklong detour through Italy. Athens was fantastic. The tours were very good, and short of heading out to the islands, I can't think of a single thing we would have rather done while there.



Although we had an excellent time in Athens, Egypt was by far the highlight of our entire trip, including Italy. We just can't say enough
about Ahmed, Isis, Ashraf, and all our drivers. We simply could not have done the trip without their help. Ahmed was very professional, courteous, and helpful, and always went out of his way to make sure we were where we needed to be at the right time. Our Egyptologist guides, Isis and Ashraf, were both very knowledgeable and made our visit so much better with their endless supply of information. We wore out both days long before they did. We will definitely try to come back to Egypt when we have more time to spend.



Thank you so much for arranging the trip, allowing us to customize what we needed to, and putting us in touch with such good people. And please find attached pictures of us enjoying a camel ride. :-)
