Ancient Egyptian treatments – Jewel of the Nile
Indulge in the mystery of ancient Egypt through treatments and
massages with natural products. Choose from among our traditional collection
of treatments.

Cleopatra
milk bath
Queen Cleopatra's milk baths were known to bring eternal youth,
leaving the skin radically soft and pure to the touch. Indulge in a bathing
ritual in which therapists will guide you through a traditional foot massage,
then leave you to soak in a cloudy milk bath. Complete your treatment
with an Egyptian ceremony of inhalations and body oil. An experience fit
for a Queen. (50 minutes)
Egyptian
hair and scalp treatment
In ancient Egypt, hair played a major role in beauty rituals.
Relax as your therapist runs their fingers through sections of your hair,
applying warm oils and a heated poultice that will leave the scalp feeling
refreshed and the hair nourished. Lie back to the touch of the rhythmic
movements of massage and let your tension ease away. (30 minutes)

Egyptian
loofah scrub
The pursuit of beauty was once a daily ritual for brides, and
for one day each week they would experience this aromatic treatment. An
invigorating traditional body scrub is followed by Egyptian oils that
leave the skin soft, supple and nourished. (50 minutes)
Imperial
massage
Two therapists massage you in synchronisation, with a combination
of sensuous strokes and muscle manipulation using aromatic oil. This divine
experience will make you feel you are in paradise. (30 minutes)
Papyrus
wrap
Ancient Egyptians wrapped oils and linen around their bodies
to encourage skin rejuvenation. Empty your mind and sooth your soul in
an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, as a ritual application of honey
and herbs soothes and nourishes your skin. (50 minutes)

Pharaonic
massage
In this luxurious treatment once reserved for Egyptian royalty,
a highly qualified therapist massages the body with individually chosen
Egyptian aromatic oils. A heated poultice of aromatic herbs is used to
soothe muscles, nourish the skin and induce relaxation, providing an experience
as spiritual as it is physical. (60 minutes)
Private
spa
The ancient Egyptians spent many hours pampering their bodies
with oils and creams. Both men and women prized perfumes and cosmetics
as a way of restoring vitality and good health. At the Spa and Wellness
Centre, we have created a private space with your own personal sauna,
whirlpool and shower. Enjoy the Nile view and experience the glamour of
the pharaonic era with a massage using relaxing oils to ease away the
stresses of the day. (120 minutes)

Sinai
treasure mud
This traditional beauty treatment provides stimulating and refreshing
cleansing for the skin, and is an excellent choice for improving circulation
and skin tone. This treatment gives the skin a fresh look and leaves it
feeling soft and pampered. (50 minutes)
Asian
treatments
Treat yourself to a variety of specialised Asian treatments,
infused with the culture and ingredients of the Far East.

Balinese
massage
Inspired by Balinese traditions, this massage uses Bali Santi,
a blend of infused coconut oil, basil essential oil, rosemary, sandalwood
and patchouli. (60 minutes)
Javanese
lulur
Our lulur combines a Javanese beauty ritual with the ultimate
pampering experience. The treatment begins with an exfoliating herbal
skin scrub with granular turmeric, sandalwood, sweet woods, rice powder,
ginger root and lavender. This is followed by a Javanese polish with fresh
yogurt. The treatment is completed with a luxurious and hydrating massage
using vitiver lotion. (50 minutes)
Shiro
dhara therapy
Shiro dhara is an ayurvedic therapy that begins with a stream
of warm oil dripping onto the "third eye" (forehead), helping
to clear your energy channels and bring inner peace and balance to the
body. A warm, herbal-infused oil is massaged into the hair and scalp to
nourish, strengthen and condition the scalp and hair follicles. The treatment
is completed with a relaxing massage that soothes and rejuvenates the
mind and body. (90 minutes)
Thai
massage
This ancient massage technique, also known as yoga massage, has
been applied for centuries. Based on the stretching of the muscles and
the application of pressure over the energy points of the body, the Thai
massage eases muscle tightness and stimulates energy flow, replacing tension
and stress with a sensation of peace and calm. (60 minutes)
Dead
Sea treatments
This diverse, innovative collection of signature treatments has
been created especially for the Spa and Wellness Centre at Four Seasons
Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, using natural ingredients sourced
from the Dead Sea in Jordan.
Dead
Sea mud wrap
The most luxurious and soothing of spa therapies, this treatment
includes a full-body salt scrub followed by a rich mud mask, completed
with an application of hydrating body lotion to moisturise the skin. The
treatment is designed to relax and detoxify the body, hydrate the skin
and improve the flow of nutrients to the skin's surface. (60 minutes)
Exfoliating
salt scrub
This therapeutic body treatment consists of a refreshing application
of Dead Sea water, followed by a mixture of exfoliating salts from the
Dead Sea. Ideal for cleansing, rejuvenating the cells and softening the
skin. (50 minutes)
Hydrotherapy
bath crystals
Hydrotherapy relaxes and stimulates the mind and the body. Invigorating
bath crystals – a unique blend of eucalyptus, peppermint, grapefruit
and lavender – create a rejuvenating soak, stimulating the senses
and easing away stress and tension. Or choose calming bath crystals, which
help to relieve joint pain, as well as muscle and nerve tension. The perfect
way to refresh a tired body after a long day. (50 minutes)
Hand
and foot treatments

Manicure
This luxurious aromatherapy manicure will nourish, relax and
beautify hands. In addition to traditional manicure service, enjoy a relaxing
back massage. We also provide the option of a French manicure, a hot water
massage for your feet or the latest in “nail art” design.
(Time will vary per individual)
Pedicure
Our pedicure starts with a luxurious foot soak in a herbal scented
bath, and includes a foot and leg massage using a special blend of natural
Egyptian herbs to revive tired legs and feet. The option of a scented
foot bath is also available. (Time will vary per individual)
Depilatory
services
Exfoliation prepares the skin, while the waxing is followed by
a light antiseptic oil that will calm and cool the skin. The treatment
is completed with a cool moisturising balm that leaves the skin smooth
and soft. Waxing is available for full leg, half leg, face, full arm,
half arm, bikini, underarm, eyebrow, chin and lip. (Time will vary per
individual)
