DAY
1 - CAIRO Monday
Our staff greets you at Cairo's airport and escorts you to your hotel.
Visa fee is included & issued upon arrival. Must be American or
Japanese passport with 6 month of validity at least beyond the date
of arrival.
DAY
2 - CAIRO Tuesday (BL)
We visit the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin and Alabaster Mosque.
In the afternoon we fulfill your dream of seeing the Pyramids at
Giza and the Great Sphinx ,we'll
motor to the edge of Cairo, to the mysterious Sphinx and the Pyramids
of Giza. The
museum of the Royal Barge of Cheops The museum is built over the rectangular
pit that housed the Royal Barge for thousands of years , the wooden
boat was readied for the king's daily journey with the sun god, Ra .
Discovered in 1954, in a completely dismantled state, the 43-metre (140-foot)
cedar boat is a rare window on the Royal boats used by the kings of
Ancient Egypt.
Those
who are fit and adventurous enough may wish to penetrate into the heart
of the Great Pyramid, to the King's Chamber your ticket is included
with our compliments (or the interior of Kephren Pyramid). Taking
a camel ride (Included) is entirely your own choice! Lunch
is included at a local restaurant
DAY
3 - ASWAN & Kalabsha - Board your Nile Cruise Wednesday
(BLD)
An early morning flight takes us up the Nile to Aswan, where we settle
in on your Nile cruiser. Complimentary large bottle of water will be
delivered to your cabin daily while you are on board.
Tour of Kalabsha Temple dedicated to the ancient God Mandulis, and the
goddess Isis. Built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Augustus,
the small rock-cut temple of Beit El Wali, built by Ramses the Great,
and the small yet charming Kiosk of Qertassi.
DAY
4 - KOM OMBO Thursday (BLD)
After
breakfast we tour the mighty Aswan dams, old and new, then board a motor
launch to visit the Temples of Philae, moved to an island and saved
from the rising waters. Back on board the ship, we'll set sail down
river, and enjoy lunch, as we watch timeless Egypt pass by. We'll disembark
at the great twin-temple at Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile
River God, and Haroeris, the solar disk. We continue sailing towards
Edfu. We'll be hosted for a cocktail reception followed by a buffet
dinner of continental specialties, then party Egyptian style dressed
in galabias (available for purchase on board) , the flowing national
costume
DAY
5 - EDFU & LUXOR Friday (BLD)
We board horse-drawn carriages (or motor vans) for the short ride through
Edfu to the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved in Egypt. After our
visit, we'll re-embark, and enjoy lunch while we proceed northward down
river toward Luxor. The evening's entertainment is followed by a gala
dinner.
DAY
6 - LUXOR Saturday (B
We cross the Nile to the Valley of the Kings, the magnificent
tomb-temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the Valley of the Queens. The
Colossi of Memnon. Returning to Luxor, after lunch on board we tour
the gigantic Great Temple of Amon at Karnak. We return in time for afternoon
tea. Our farewell dinner is an oriental celebration, featuring a buffet
of Egyptian specialties, followed by a show featuring local entertainment,
including a belly dancer.
DAY
7 - SHARM EL SHEIK Sunday (B)
We fly over the Sinai peninsula to Sharm El Sheik, and head for
the beach!

8 - SHARM EL SHEIKH Monday (B)
Relax! This is your day to absorb all that you've seen and experienced
so far, not to mention the bright Egyptian sun and sparkling sea.
DAY 9 - SHARM or optional MOUNT SINAI Tuesday (BL)
Another day on the beach or join us for a complimentary tour
to St. Catherine ( including lunch):
Detail: In the cool before sunrise, we drive into the wilderness of
Sinai, through which Moses led his people to the Promised Land.
Our goal is the Monastery of St. Catherine, built on the site of the
burning bush at the base of Mount Sinai. We tour the monastery,
rich in history, icons and sacred paintings, returning to Sharm
late in the evening.
DAY
10 - CAIRO Wednesday (B)
We return to Cairo by plane for a free day in the Egyptian metropolis.

11 - MEMPHIS, SAKKARA & DAHSHOUR Thursday (B)
We tour the ruins of ancient Memphis, the step pyramid of Sakkara,
and the bent pyramid at Dahshour, once again open
to visitors after a half-century of seclusion.
DAY 12 - DEPARTURE Friday (B) Our staff
escorts you to the airport for your flight home.

Do
we get sea sickness while sailing the Nile ?
This is river sailing, so do not expect any waves , no rough seas
! Your Nile cruises is actually a floating hotel that moves from place
to place along the Nile. Actual cruising times are short and pleasant.
