An 8-Day Tour of Egypt

1st Day: ITALY/LUXOR

Departure from Italy with a scheduled flight and arrival to the International Airport of Luxor. Meeting with our Tour Director and embark on your deluxe Nile cruise, dinner and overnight on board.
Visa fee issued upon arrival for American, Australian, Brazilian , NZ,EU, S. Korean , Mexicans, Singaporean , South African & Japanese citizens, passport must be valid for at least 6 month after the date of arrival.

 

Visa will be issued upon arrival.
As you exit the gate, you will pass through a door or two , down some stairs , then walk for 2-5 minutes , until you pass the duty free shops, at the end of a wide corridor , you will see the security officers. There you will be met by a local representative, who will be holding a sign with the name you prefer to use for the sign . Our local representative will then take your passport to obtain a stamp from the cashier / bank window and escort you to speak with the passport officer. He will escort you through another last check on your passport as you exit the passport control, into customs area, he will assist you in collecting your luggage and clearing customs . After exiting the terminal, our local representative will escort you (private vehicle) to the hotel

 

2nd Day: LUXOR/ ESNA / EDFU

Full board. The whole morning is dedicated to the tour of the Luxor and Karnak Temples, and of the Thebes Necropolis: the Valley of the Kings and the Queens, the Colossi of Memnon, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir El Bahari.

In the afternoon we sail for Esna Locks , while the boat awaits it is turn to go through the locks ,

Special tour for our customers to the unique Esna Temple, preserved for centuries buried underneath the village main square until the late 30's. On to Edfu .
Overnight on board your Nile Cruise. Welcome fruit basket awaits you in your cabin.

 

 

3rd Day: EDFU/ KOM OMBO/ Aswan

Full board. In the morning we make a tour of the Horus Temple. Afterward, we continue toward Kom Ombo. We re-embark and continue to sail toward Aswan. Overnight on board.

 

4th Day: Aswan

Full board. In the morning we have the option to make an excursion by plane to Abu Simbel. In the afternoon we make a tour by felucca of elephantine Island, its botanic gardens and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.  Overnight on board.

 

5th Day: Aswan/CAIRO

Full board. In the morning we have a guided tour of the Great Dam, of an ancient granite quarry complete with an unfinished obelisk and of the Philae Temple, a Ptolemaic building dedicated to Isis. At the end, transfer to the airport for the scheduled Egyptian Airlines flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, our representative welcomes you, then we transfer to the hotel for the accommodation in the reserved rooms. Finally dinner and overnight stay.

 

6th Day: CAIRO

After breakfast at the hotel, the all day is dedicated to the tour of the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the ancient capital city of Memphis and the Necropolis of Sakkara, including the terraced Pyramid of Zoser.  Lunch in a typical restaurant. At the end, we return to the hotel for a dinner and overnight stay.

 

7th Day: CAIRO

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day is dedicated to the tour of the Egyptian Museum, of the Citadel with the Mosques of Mohamed Ali and of Ibn el Qalawn, with a stop at the Bazaar of Kan El Khalili. Lunch in a typical restaurant. At the end, we return to the hotel for a dinner and overnight stay.

 

8th Day: CAIRO/ITALY

After breakfast, transfer to the International Airport of Cairo for your scheduled flight home.

DRESS CODE :

All of our Nile cruise vessels are fully air conditioned. Onboard dress is casual except at dinner, when smart casual is the rule. Lightweight cotton and other natural fiber clothing is best, with swimsuits and sun hats for the sundeck and pool. Bring a light sweater or light jacket for cool mornings and evenings, but most days are warm to hot, with very little rain. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for shore excursions.

What to Pack:
Most of the year look forward to warm, even hot weather in Cairo , Luxor & Aswan, morning & evenings are cooler. During
Winter ... very rare do we get rain, if so , very brief showers. No need for real rain wear/gear.
Before sunrise , after sun-set , you'll need a light jacket , or light sweater .

For Nile cruise shore excursions, we suggest comfortable cotton & natural fabric lightweight clothing.

Comfortable walking shoes are essential for all tours in Cairo or Upper Egypt.




Clothing on Board the Nile Cruise :
Lightweight comfortable & casual clothing. Swimsuits, sun hat.
Dining room dress code is casual for breakfast & lunch, but smart casual for dinner. Please do not wear swimsuits into the dining room. All ships are fully air conditioned
