The Red Sea Live Aboard Yacht '' Sea Ray ''

The Sea Ray- (Egyptian: departs from Hurghada and Mersa Galeb) Launched in 1997 from Suez.
This gorgeous yacht is composed of the finest woods built in the best Egyptian Ship yard. 22 meters long (75 feet) and 7 meters width (24 feet), the vessel accommodates 16 divers in 6 double cabins and one spacious quadruple (will be 8 double cabins as of July' 99). There are 3 spacious bathrooms in cabins deck and another one on the diving area.

The huge living area (65 square meter) provides for comfortable relaxation in front of the TV with VCR, or listening to the stereo. Combine this with a bar and dining buffet, and the vessel truly becomes a floating hotel. The air-conditioning gives a great escape to divers when it's really hot, whether in the living area or in the cabins deck. The yacht carries a total of 20 air tanks, 12-Liter, and provides refills from two 190-Liter Bauer Mariner Compressors. The spacious diving area (50 square meters) makes it easier for divers when suiting.

Diving could be from the wide platform or from the big rigid-hull Zodiac which, with the help of it's Johnson Commercial 45 HP outboard, could take easily 10 divers where no other big boat could go. The portable waterproof H.F. Radio keeps the Zodiac in direct contact with the mother boat for instructions where diver's safety is concerned.

The specially designed ladder helps divers to get on board without much effort and the friendly, efficient, crew members are always there to take your air tank ''off your back'' !! The vessel is also equipped with First Aid kit, an Oxygen tank, life jackets and one 20-person life-raft.

The two powerful M.A.N. Engines propel divers to sites in fairly good speed, increasing the time available for diving, while the Chef is busy preparing gourmet meals! After your dive, you will find him smiling back at you when you feel so good finding your hot coffee or tea ready with English cakes or cookies.
The huge sun deck gives an ample relaxing area for reading, sun-bathing , or even sleeping under the clear sky of the Red Sea.

Itineraries take divers as far as the straits of Gubal to the north where is the "Mother of all " wrecks: ''Thistlegorm'', or to the south, from Mersa Galeb.
