De todas las ciudades de Italia empapadas en historia y monumentos de la fe cristiana Ravenna, fue la que vio el nacimiento del cristianismo. Para descubrirlo, que mejor guía que los mosaicos, una “Biblia Poverum” cuyas narraciones brillan con luz propia, que los siglos no han podido borrar. Digno de destacar son: La Torre de la Campaña de Ravenna, Santa Apollinare, la Basílica de Santa Vitale, famosa en todo el mundo por sus mosaicos bizantinos y el Mausoleo de Galla Placidia.

Ravenna is a city of art and culture, an ancient city which 1.500 years ago was capital three times : of the Western Roman Empire, of Theodoric, King of the Goths, of the Byzantine Empire in Europe. The magnificent of that period has left Ravenna with a great heritage of monuments, religious buildings decorated with mosaics which has been declared patrimony of humanity by Unesco. Among its monuments we have to emphasize , the basilica of San Vitale, the church of Sant’Apollinaire Nuovo and the Mausoleum of Gala Placidia.

San Marino fue fundada en el año 301 d.C. y ha mantenido su independencia hasta hoy día. Tiene una superficie de 60 Km2 y una población de 22.000 habitantes. Podemos visitar la Iglesia de San Francisco, construida en el siglo XIV, de la Plaza de la Libertad, con el Palacio Público neo-gótico, ulos bastiones en las dos fortalezas: Castillo de la Guaita, construido en 1253, y el Castillo de la Cesta que fue construido en 1320 en la colina de Mt. The third smallest state in Europe (After the Holy See and Monaco) also claims to be the world’s oldest republic. According to the tradition, it was founded by a Christian stonemason named Marinus in 301 AD San Marino’s foreign policy is aligned with that of Italy.
