Light is everywhere and a stunning view overlooking the Mediterranean sea and the Island of Ischia invites you to some daydreaming, far away from bustling city life.

The Suites are all comprised of a living room, separate bedroom, bathroom and terrace. The floors in the rooms are paved with white, irregular stone whereas the pavement of the terraces is made of brushed travertine marble. The walls are decorated with big oil paintings dedicated to the pieces of work of these famous masters of abstract art. Each Suite is 50 mq. big and two of them can interconnect to make one big Suite with two bedrooms and two big bathrooms. Restaurant L'Olivo
A cuisine of Italian flair, our young Chef Oliver Glowig has re-interpreted the local traditions, maintaining the genuine flavours of the region and combining them with his particular light and innovative style of cooking.
In November 2004, the Restaurant has been awarded a Michelin Star.

Oliver Glowig was born and built his career in Germany working for well known restaurants in Munich. Since 2001 he manages a team of 22 cooks at the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa, he renewed the culinary offer at L'Olivo restaurant and achieved a Michelin Star.

Watercolour Painting at the Capri Palace

Dear Guest, We are delighted to announce the offering of complimentary aquarello (watercolour) painting classes here at the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa for your enjoyment! The experience of watercolour painting is firstly an experience of well-being. Comparable to playing an instrument but definitely more accessible, watercolour painting creates a sensation of fluidity in oneself; it is a kind of meditation, of self-discipline and consciousness. These classes do not require any prior artistic experience, and we welcome all who are interested! As we are situated on top of a unique island with light and colour like no other place in the world, the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa has thought of offering its clients watercolour painting classes.

Why paint?
Painting is a beautiful experience and gives oneself vitality and joy of living. It is relaxing and at the same time it recharges oneself, making you look at things with a different eye. Above all, to attempt to paint with brush and colour is not only privileged to artists and children;
anyone can do it. So why not give it a try?

Whatever will be the duration or outcome of your pictorial adventure, it is completely up to you. It will certainly be formative and will reveal oneself a source of vital energy. But what is most important is that while painting, we forget everything around us in favour of a special light, a certain proportion, a combination of colours, and our eyes will make the experience of beauty, a key passage of every human destiny.

The Class
Is open for anybody’s wishes to experiment and to acquire profound knowledge of this discipline through the use of watercolour which is a means of expression to better get to know oneself. The classes start in April and will take place during the last week of every month, with daily meetings of approximately 3 hours.
The participants will meet in small groups of 6 to 8 people. After a brief introduction of the materials, the basic elements of the technique will be taught, along with specific exercises to stimulate and liberate the creative potential of everyone.

The Instructor
This class is conducted by Michele Costantini, painter, “art-therapist” illustrator. After his study in the arts he was trained by the master Kenji Sumura. For the last 10 years he has dedicated himself to painting, becoming more and more involved in the spiritual aspect in art that he brings to all of his classes and seminars.

For those of you who during their stay at the Capri Palace wish to participate in the Watercolour Painting Classes, our reservations office will be delighted to register you and to give you more profound information regarding the program.
