General
Information
VISAS:
American and Canadian travelers going to Egypt, Jordan, Kenya and/or
Syria require visas. Kenyan and Syrian visas should be obtained from
those countries' consulates or embassies before you depart on your trip.
Allow plenty of time for this procedure. Egyptian and Jordanian visas
may be obtained in advance from the countrys' consulates, or at the
airport when entering Egypt or Jordan. Visa fees are not included in
our tour prices, and must be paid by each traveler.
Guides:
Over
the years we've asked returning Travel in Style travelers "What
made

The
guides on Travel in Style tours are the best possible people for the

national regulations for qualification.
On
our Egypt tours and Nile cruises, our guides are certified Egyptologists
licensed by the government. All have university degrees, many of them
Ph.D.'s. In Morocco, guides on our camel caravans and desert tours are
local
experts on the Sahara and Bedouin traditions. In Turkey, our city guides
are
government-licensed members of the tour guides' guild, and the captains
of
our yachts have captains' certification as well as long experience in
sailing the waters of the Turquoise Coast.
We
realize that the guide is the key to an enjoyable, memorable travel
experience, so we provide the best because we know you want to Travel
in
Style.
AIRLINES:
For our tours which include international airfares, it is our usual
practice to send our valued clients on these recognized international
airlines: Air France, Alitalia, EgyptAir, Olympic Airways, or Turkish
Airlines. However, we reserve the right to use any IATA accredited scheduled
international airline.
GETTING
ALONG ABROAD:
Participants
in our tours are encouraged to travel with an open mind, active curiosity,
and thoughtful courtesy for others. We believe that it is important
to maintain a positive attitude towards your fellow tour participants
and also towards the people of the host country, towards their culture
and way of life.
Accommodations
and meals, particularly outside the large cities, may be quite different
from what you're used to at home. Enjoy them in the spirit of adventure,
which is the reward of foreign travel.
TRAVEL
INSURANCE:
We
strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance. Policies are available
through our office or your local insurance agent to cover loss or damage
to your luggage, medical needs, certain travel-related accidents, and
expenses if you must cancel your trip. Please request a copy of our
insurance brochure.
